Job Responsibilities
- Drive IOM office vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle roadworthiness (tires, brakes, engine oil, etc.).
- Arrange minor repairs and keep vehicles clean.
- Ensure regular vehicle servicing.
- Maintain records and inventory of spare parts.
- Choose the safest and most efficient routes.
- Use vehicles for official business only.
- Prepare daily logs and monthly mileage/fuel reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and reduce security risks.
- Assist with airport pickups and immigration/customs formalities.
- Deliver mail and documents as needed.
- Help with simple clerical tasks when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High School Degree
- Experience: 2+ years driving for large organizations
- License: Valid driving license (A, B, C, D, E)
- Skills:
- Vehicle maintenance and minor repairs
- Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)
- Good communication and teamwork
- Knowledge of local roads and GPS usage
- Flexibility and ability to handle stress
- Security protocol awareness
Languages:
- Fluent in English and Somali (oral and written).
