Role Overview

As a Programme Manager, you’ll oversee IOM Somalia’s Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), focusing on security sector governance. You’ll work closely with the Somali government and communities to enhance safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the Collaborative Safety and Security Framework (CSSF).
  • Provide guidance and technical supervision for the CSSF.
  • Liaise with international and local partners to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Maintain relationships with government counterparts to manage project challenges.
  • Keep senior management and stakeholders updated on program progress.
  • Ensure timely and quality reporting.
  • Participate in donor and partner meetings.
  • Supervise and support programme staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, or related field with 5 years of experience, or a University degree with 7 years of experience.
  • Experience: Fieldwork in security sector governance, project management, and working with government and international actors. Experience in Somalia is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in project implementation and computer literacy.
  • Languages: Fluency in English required; Somali is an advantage.
