Key Details

  • Position: U.S. Personal Service Contractor (U.S. PSC) Senior Development Advisor, USAID/Somalia
  • Location: Mogadishu, Somalia with possible remote work within Somalia
  • Salary: $123,041 to $159,950, depending on experience (no locality pay for overseas positions)
  • Period of Performance: One year from the award date, with potential for extension

What We Need From You

  • A master’s degree in International Development, Business, or a related field
  • At least 25 years of development experience, particularly in crisis environments similar to Somalia
  • Strong program development and implementation skills, with a proven track record in leadership and strategy development

Your Role

  • You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, planning and implementing strategic programs focused on resilience, counter-extremism, and humanitarian assistance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including US and Somali government officials, and international partners.
  • Provide expert advice on policy and program development to USAID and other U.S. government bodies.
